Elder Pablo Russel grew up in the Blackfoot tribe and was raised by his grandparents. Being of an older generation, they lived in the traditional way, where the oral tradition of knowledge and mythologies was important. He gained great historical and practical knowledge concerning the Prairie Indians' original way of life from his grandparents and became an excellent storyteller like them.  

He is an international speaker and facilitator who, based on the buffalo and Indigenous traditions, teaches people about leadership, mental health, and personal and spiritual development.

He shares his traditional knowledge on his nature walks in Fish Creek Park, supported by CPAWS SA.
